The day started with a great event, held by SpeAkEr MonSteR for Shining Stars at the Eagles Club. They brought in a great crew for the fundraiser and also debuted some new tunes. The Eagles club was a delightful way to kick off the night. If you haven't heard the boys check them out.

This Labor Day kicked off with Jazz Aspen and a "sold out" (as usual) Z-trip show at the Belly Up. Zach (Z-Trip) has been coming to Aspen and throwing heat about as long as he has been covering the Vegas scene that we all lust for a little bit of the year. He moves the crowd and drops the beats. This show it was great to see the 45's come out for an "old skool lesson" for all those "button pushing DJ's out there." Its a lot more than just a computer and a keyboard to be an Elite DJ. Z-Trip, Qbert, Naka G, Bamboo, and the rest of the "knights of the round records" can all toss the vinyl at the drop of a hat. Great to see someone orchestrate the crowd from the tables.
HATHBANGER sent the crowd wild from the start and kept bringing the heat till Z-trip took stage. For the rage facers, the whoomp kings, the pacifier queens: YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS KID!!!!
It was a packed night of dancing and sounds, till the early morning with ECTO COOLER and Hathbanger melting the kids "after party" style till sunrise in the West End. The music never stops with DJ's on the road; the sound check, the gig, the after party, the studio, the research. Its all evident that these fools keep their heads in the crates and their fingers on the trigger. All grimey all the time. Keep these kids on your playlist!
