Cherub - Music Review

Cherub is the next big thing; they are all about bringing love to the world. They are a funky electronic duo that takes sex drugs and rock-n-roll to another atmosphere. The band is based out of Nashville, Tennessee, and the two members are Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber. This past year they played Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, Snowball, and Summer Camp. They have shared the stage with artist such as Big Gigantic and Two Fresh.

Last spring Cherub released their second EP The Mom and Dad EP. The EP opened with “What I Want”, but my favorite track on the album is “Doses and Mimosas”. The song “Doses and Mimosas” is Cherubs grimiest song, as well as it should be. The song encompasses everything Cherub wanted to do, and that was to bring sex drugs and rock-n-roll to another level.

Cherub will be in Colorado all weekend long playing three shows, Friday in Fort Collins, Saturday in Denver, and Sunday at Belly Up, Aspen. This Saturday December 15 you can check them out in Denver at the Bluebird Theater. They are performing with Two Fresh; last week Cherub and Two Fresh released a four song EP. If want something new in electronic music, then you need to give a Cherub a chance, they will not disappoint.
