Blues N BBQ Benefit

Head out to Arvada this Sunday for down home fun for a good cause: homes ! The  15h Annual Blues N BBQ  For Better Housing Block Party is bound to be a good time. The festival will be rippin' tunes, roasting meats and raising funds for Habitat for Humanity from noon to 8pm on July 15th in Olde Town Arvada.

The Duke Street Kings, a local blues band and headlining act, put on the festival each year to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Habitat helps folks on the brink of home ownership to  get into homes. People put in 300 hours of labor in the construction of their own homes and get a 0% loan in exchange.  This organization will have its work cut out for them with all the homes lost in this year's wildfires. Learn more about Habitat for Humanity!

The long established festival features 18 acts on 3 stages and 70 vendors. As the name implies there will be ample choices of tasty eats, plus clothing, art and jewelry vendors.  For just $10 you can rock out all day with Colorado artists like Emilio Emilio ), raw Bluesman Ricky Earl featuring chanteuse Cheri, sultry vixen Reckless Red, and young phenoms Young Austin and Michaela Rae and the Miller Brothers (these guys are just 15, 16 and 17 puttin down blues licks like old-timers)

So far the Fest has raised $60,000 for Habitat, and they're aiming to raise $20,000 this year.  It's just $10  and you get tasty eats and tasty licks all in one place!  So get your butt on down to Arvada for some Blues N BBQ on Sunday  and help this worthy cause!
